Frank McCarthy's Satellite Basketball Camps

Frank McCarthy, who has been a coaching for 40 years — including stops as the head coach of the Montana State, Montana State Billings and Sheridan College women's basketball teams — will be offering camps in the region this summer.

The camps are geared for grades K through high school.

McCarthy will travel to your town and camps can last one or two days, depending on your needs.

Running

Heart and Sole Registration

Registration is open for the 40th Annual Heart & Sole Run on Saturday, June 15. Participants who register by May 15 will receive a personalized race bib. The entry fee through June 12 in the 5K and 10K is $31 and $26 for children (8 and under). The 2-Mile entry fee is $23 for adults and $18 for children (8 and under).

 Heart and Sole features the Road Runners Club of America State Championship 5K, a 10K and 2 Mile Health Walk. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part. Proceeds from the race will benefit the YMCA and Billings area trails. The 2 mile begins at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K at 8:15 a.m. and the 10K at 8:35 a.m. Participants will finish inside the stadium of Dehler Park.

 The Montana Active Life Festival will be held post-race on the concourse. The festival is a healthy lifestyle celebration and includes family fun and games, new Dynamite Dash, climbing wall, interactive booths, and overall awards presentation.

Tuesday Evening Ladies League

There will be a kickoff meeting on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the clubhouse. League play is scheduled to begin April 16 at 5:45. Golfers can sign up as a team or individual. Beginner, intermediate or experienced golfers are welcome. Contact Michele for more information at 281-0976.

Rocky Mountain College Alumni and Friends Tournament

The 19th Annual Rocky Mountain College Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament is Monday, June 10, at Hilands.

Team registration is $750 and includes range balls prior to the game, a $40 pro shop voucher, appetizers during and after the game, and select beverages.

Hole sponsorship is still available. A hole sponsorship is $200 and a sign displaying the company logo will be placed at a hole on the course.
