FLORENCE — The Vauxhall (Alberta, Canada) Spurs rapped 15 hits Monday night in overwhelming the Laurel Dodgers 14-4 in the undefeated semifinal game at the Montana-Alberta American Legion Class A baseball tournament.

Johnny Vulcano, Blake Kondor and Aaron Vulcano swatted two hits apiece for the Spurs and also batted in two runs each.

Johnny Vulcano doubled and homered. Teammate Carson Cleland drove in five runs with his two hits.

Laurel was limited to five hits by five Vauxhall pitchers. Richie Cortese, Canu Golden and Deklan Harper doubled for the Locomotives.

Connor Polkowske drove in two runs for Laurel with sacrifice flies. 

Laurel fell behind 6-0, but closed to within 6-3 in the fourth inning. Vauxhall pushed home eight runs in the final three innings.

The Dodgers will now face the Bitterroot Bucs at 1 p.m. Tuesday in a loser-out contest. The Gallatin Valley Outlaws will also try to avoid elimination in a 4 p.m. clash against Vauxhall.

The Bitterroot Bucs and Gallatin Valley Outlaws both posted loser-out wins earlier in the day.

The Bucs' Johnny Lineback hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth to score Brendan Schneiter for the go-ahead run in the Bucs' 9-8 victory over the Mission Valley Mariners. Schneiter also hit a solo homer in a two-run second inning. Colby Kohlman added a two-run homer for the Bucs. 

Overall, Schneiter was 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs. Teammate Jake Scully was 3 for 3 with two runs.

Trevor Lake had three hits for Mission Valley and Alex Muzquiz added two. Dawson Dumont plated two runs for the Mariners. 

Gallatin Valley coasted to a 10-0 five-inning victory over the Dillon Cubs. Outlaws pitcher Michael Nehring limited Dillon to a pair of hits. He did not walk a batter and fanned six.

Overall, Gallatin Valley pounded out 18 hits.

Hunter Johnson was 4 for 4 with two runs and an RBI for the Outlaws. Dalton Mitchell went 3 for 3 with a run and an RBI and Isaac Richardson was 3 for 4 with a run and four RBIs. 

For Dillon, Pete Gibson and Ben Jones each had a hit.
