Butte Central senior Rachael McGree will continue to be a regular fixture on the track and field circuit but this time she’ll do it as a member of the Montana State Track and Field Team.

McGree was a four-time champion at the State Class A Track and Field Championships in Bozeman this past spring, winning the 100 hurdles, long jump, triple jump and as a member of the 4x100 relay team.

With one season remaining in her prep career, McGree could force some records to fall.

“I saw her at the state meet last year here in Bozeman and saw her run the hurdles,” Montana State assistant coach Tom Eitel said of McGree. “She looks smooth when she runs and makes the hurdles look easy. She’s got good mechanics, she’s well coached and she’s a McGree.

“If she gets the goals she wants this spring, she’ll be an even bigger force to reckon with in the Big Sky.”

Other signings to the Bobcat team are Chris Bianchini (Snohomish, Washington), Trisha Carlson (CMR), Morgan Evans (Great Falls HS), Molly MacDonald, (Sentinel) and Jaycee Schmalz (Hamilton).
