OGDEN, Utah — Following a pair of 30-point performances in leading Montana State to two wins, junior guard Harald Frey was named as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball player of the week.
Frey opened the week with a 30-point outing in an 84-73 victory over Northern Arizona on Saturday, scoring 17 points in the second half. The Oslo, Norway, native added six rebounds, six assists and four steals while shooting 10 of 19 from the field. Frey connected on six 3-pointers.
He followed that with a career-high 32 points in a 90-83 win over Southern Utah on Monday. Frey added seven rebounds and six assists while committing zero turnovers in 38 minutes.
Frey has recorded four 30-point games this season and ranks fourth in the Big Sky in scoring in league games with 19.8 points per game. He also ranks second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.7), third in assists (5.3) and is tied for third in steals (1.4).
