Southern Utah’s Angie Nickerson was named the Big Sky Conference women’s track athlete of the week and Montana’s Hana Feilzer took home the women’s field athlete honors.
Feilzer competed in the Tom Gage Classic in Bozeman where she won the hammer throw with a top distance of 204 feet, 1 inch. She is the only Big Sky athlete this season to surpass 200 feet in the event. Feilzer also finished second in the discus with a mark of 146-7.
Nickerson competed at the Payton Jordan Invite in the 5,000-meter where she finished with a time of 15 minutes, 46.02 seconds. This time broke the school record as well as ranks her 14th in the nation as of this past Thursday.
