OGDEN, Utah — Montana junior Sayeed Pridgett was named the Big Sky Conference men's basketball player of the week for the second time this season on Tuesday.
Pridgett averaged 20 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game to lead Montana to a pair of wins over Idaho and Eastern Washington. The Grizzlies improved to 17-6 and 10-2 in conference, are on a seven-game winning streak and currently sit in sole possession of first place.
The Oakland, California, native shot 16 for 19 from the field for an 84.2 percent mark from the field. He scored 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting against the Vandals last Thursday as the Griz won, 100-59. On Saturday against the Eagles, he scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead UM in a 75-74 win over EWU.
Pridgett also won the player of the week award on Jan. 15. Montana redshirt senior Jamar Akoh won on Jan. 29.
Montana is at Weber State on Thursday and Idaho State on Saturday.
