The Montana women's softball team picked up a pair of wins Friday against Northern Colorado at the Grizzly Softball Field.
The first came in dramatic fashion, a 6-4 win on a walkoff two-run homer by Cami Sellers. The second, 4-2, was more workmanlike.
The wins pushed the Griz to 6-8 in the Big Sky, 20-29 overall. Northern Colorado fell to 5-11, 11-36.
The Griz spotted the Bears a 4-0 lead in the opener, before scoring two runs in each of the fifth, sixth and seventh innings, the last blow being Sellers' walkoff two-run homer.
Maddy Stensby drove in Montana's first run with a single and Sellers followed with an RBI double. Morgan Johnson blasted a two-run homer in the sixth inning to knot the game at 4-4, setting the stage for Sellers' heroics in the seventh.
Tristin Achenbach got the win in relief of Colleen Driscoll. Achenbach (5-6) pitched two innings, allowing a single hit while striking out a pair.
Stensby (5-7) tossed a complete game in the nightcap. She allowed five hits, two runs and struck out eight.
Katie Pippel had an RBI single in the second for the Griz and Lexi Knauss added another in the fourth. The Griz added two in the fifth on an RBI double by Jessica McAlister and an RBI single by Maygen McGrath.
The same two teams will close out the tree-game series Saturday at 1 p.m. at Grizzly Softball Field.
