PORTLAND, Ore. — The Montana women's tennis team fell to 0-8 in dual action Saturday with a 6-1 loss to the Portland Pilots.

Montana jumped out to an early lead at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but the Pilots picked up a 6-0 sweep over Nathalie Joanlanne and Alex Walker at No. 3. Portland's Lourdes Ramalle and Emily Soares bounced back for a 6-3 win over UM's No. 2 team of Lauren Dunlap and Lidia Dukic to clinch the point.

Dunlap then tied the match at 1-1 at the onset of the singles round with an impressive straight-set win over the Pilots' Raphalle Leblanc at No. 2, 6-2, 6-3. It was the first college singles win of the Floridian's career at UM. 

Portland regained the lead 2-1 when Montana's Bianca Bostrom lost in straight sets at No. 3. The Grizzlies' Julia Ronney lost in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1. Ronney dropped the first set, 6-3, but rebounded for a 6-2 win in the second before losing the third, 7-6 (4).

Joanlanne, Dukic and Walker lost at Nos. 4, 5 and 6, respectively.
