BILLINGS — Colstrip's Ty Bradley has signed to wrestle for Dickinson State University.
On Saturday at the Montana Open wrestling tournament at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark, Bradley said he is projected to wrestle at 165 pounds for the Blue Hawks. Bradley said he will study exercise science at DSU.
“I am super excited just because I love wrestling,” he said. “I was going to go to Montana Tech and not do anything, but I knew I’d miss wrestling too much."
Bradley explained that he went on a visit to Dickinson "and the coaches are nice and so are the guys. The facility is good and they are getting a new weight room.”
The DSU Athletics Twitter account sent out a tweet on Friday that read, “Excited to Add Ty Bradley to the Wrestling Squad!!”.
Bradley was this year's State B-C titlist at 160 pounds. He was also a state champion in 2018 at 152 pounds. In 2017, Bradley was fourth at 145 pounds at state. As a freshman, Bradley was state runner-up at 126 pounds.
Bradley was also a member of three State B championship teams. The Colts won the past two state team titles, were second in 2017 and first in 2016.
