GLENDIVE — It will come down to one game for the Dawson Community College and Kirkwood softball teams.

Kirkwood, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, forced a Game 3 for the District H Championship with a 12-3 win in Wednesday's second game.

The Lady Bucs won the district series opener 1-0 on a complete game shutout from pitcher Shelby Martin. She also drove in DCC's only run in the first inning with a single to score Trinity Anderson.

The third and deciding game will be played at noon Thursday at BL Baker Memorial Field. The winner advances to the NJCAA D2 World Series in Clinton, Mississippi, May 22-25.

Kylee Hergenrider hit a solo home run for the Lady Bucs in the second game with Alison Etherton adding an RBI double and Reanon Justice also driving in a run.

Kirkwood's London Jackson had a three-run home run in the fourth inning and the Eagles added four more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.
