Central vs. Laurel (copy)

Billings Central's Ben Voss (38), Maverick Roberts (54) and Ben Harsha (57) take down Laurel's Cameron Younger in the second quarter at Herb Klindt Field on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.

BILLINGS — Billings Central senior Maverick Roberts committed to Carroll College for football on Monday, his father John told 406mtsports.com.

Once he signs, Roberts will become a third generation Saint — his father and grandfather played football for Carroll, per John Roberts.

Roberts played on the offensive and defensive lines for the Rams during his career. He has been selected twice as a Class A all-state center and an all-Eastern A center. He will play in June's Badlands Bowl (an all-star football game between players from Montana and North Dakota) and in July's Montana East-West Shrine Game.

Roberts helped Central earn a Class A state title this past fall.
