BILLINGS — Less than a week after closing the regular season, the Rocky Mountain College and Carroll College women’s basketball teams are looking for more success in the postseason.

The No. 20-ranked Battlin’ Bears (20-10) play the No. 7-ranked Fighting Saints (23-7) on Friday night in Helena in the Frontier Conference Tournament semifinals. The game will begin at 7 p.m.

The two teams played for the Frontier Conference Tournament title a year ago.

Rocky advanced with a 72-46 first-round win over Montana State-Northern on Tuesday, while Carroll defeated Montana Tech 59-50.

The other semifinal has No. 4-ranked Montana Western (24-3) hosting No. 22-ranked Lewis-Clark State (20-10). The regular season champion Bulldogs received a first-round bye. The Warriors advanced with a 71-57 win over Montana State-Northern.

The Saints won two of three against the Battlin’ Bears during the regular season, including a 55-43 victory last Saturday. They enter Friday's contest on an eight-game winning streak.
