BILLINGS — Danny Betcher posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds as Rocky Mountain College defeated Montana Tech 77-68 Saturday night in Frontier Conference men's basketball at the Fortin Center.

The Battlin' Bears (16-10, 7-7) play at Providence on Friday and Montana State-Northern on Saturday.

Betcher, a junior forward from Billings, was also 9 of 10 from the free throw line. His 17 points is a season high and one shy of matching his career high.

All five starters finished in double figures for Rocky, which led 35-22 at halftime.

Craig Wilmore added 15 points, while Chad Kananen had 14, Satchel McDonald 13 and Jared Samuelson 10. Samuelson also had five assists. Kananen had four 3-pointers.

The Battlin' Bears outrebounded the Orediggers 37-22.

Chris O'Neill led Montana Tech (11-14, 3-11) with a game-high 23 points. Jake Miles added 17 and Taylor England 10.
