BUTTE — Markaela Francis scored a career-high 24 points and Kloie Thatcher added 22 to help Rocky Mountain College defeat Montana Tech 83-75 Friday night in Frontier Conference women's basketball.

The No. 24-ranked Battlin' Bears (19-10, 10-7) close out the regular season at Carroll on Saturday.

Francis finished 10 of 13 from the field and made four free throws. She also had a team-best five rebounds. Thatcher finished 14 of 14 from the free throw line. Both the attempted free throws and made free throws are career highs. 

Marissa Van Atta added 13 points, while Brooke Jones had 10 points and nine rebounds. Alecia Chamberlin also had 10 points.

Chamberlin, a senior from Miles City, now has 907 career points.

Kaylee Zard led Montana Tech with 19 points and nine rebounds. She also had three blocked shots. Mesa Williams finished with 15 points and Dani Urick 13.
