BUTTE — Clayton Ladine hit the go-ahead 3-pointer and Rocky Mountain College survived some shaky free throw shooting in the final minute of the game to defeat Montana Tech 84-80 in overtime Friday night in Frontier Conference men's basketball.
The Battlin' Bears (19-10, 10-7) close out the regular season at No. 7 Carroll on Saturday.
Ladine made his fourth 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining to put Rocky up 82-79. He and Craig Wilmore added single free throws in the final 45 seconds of the game.
Rocky made just 6 of 15 free throw attempts.
Ladine and Wilmore each had 20 points for the Battlin' Bears. Jared Samuelson added 15 and Brandon The Boy 12.
Taylor England had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds for the Orediggers. The 17 rebounds are a career-high. Troy Owens Jr. added 17 points, while Carson Dummer had seven points and 10 rebounds.
