BILLINGS — A strong second half allowed Rocky Mountain College to pull away from Montana Tech 74-53 Saturday night in Frontier Conference women's basketball.
The No. 17 ranked Battlin' Bears (15-5, 6-2) outscored Montana Tech 40-24 in the second half.
Four players scored in double figures for Rocky, led by Alecia Chamberlin's game-high 17 points. Justyn Juhl posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Kloie Thatcher and Markaela Francis had 13 each.
It was Juhl's second straight game of double figure rebounds.
The Battlin' Bears shot 57 percent from the field in the second half.
Dani Urick paced the Orediggers (11-8, 1-7) with 16 points, while Kaylee Zard had 11 and Mesa Williams 10. Montana Tech was limited to 31 percent shooting in the second half.
Rocky continues its homestand with games against No. 3 Montana Western (Thursday) and No. 18 Lewis-Clark State (Saturday).
