Montana Western overtook Carroll College as the top-ranked team in the NAIA Top 25, leading three Frontier Conference teams.
Western hopped up to No. 8 after previously being ranked No. 16. The Bulldogs (17-4, 7-3) went 3-1 over the past two weeks, earning wins over Carroll, Providence and Montana State-Northern. The Bulldogs fell to Rocky Mountain College.
Carroll College fell from No. 10 to No. 14 in this week’s rankings. The Saints (18-4, 6-4) posted a 2-2 record, defeating Lewis-Clark State College and Rocky Mountain, but falling to Montana Western and Montana Tech. Carroll started the season 15-0, but have gone 3-4 since.
Lewis-Clark State plummeted the farthest of Frontier schools, dropping from No. 8 to No. 19. The Warriors are on a three-game losing streak and went 1-3 over the past few weeks. LCSC earned a win over Rocky Mountain College, but then fell to Carroll, Montana State-Northern and Providence in consecutive games.
No other Frontier teams made the poll or received votes.
