Rocky Basketball

BILLINGS — Rocky Mountain College used 18 free throws to work past Montana State-Northern 51-36 Saturday night at the Fortin Center in Frontier Conference women's basketball.

It was the final regular season home game for the No. 24 ranked Battlin' Bears.

Both teams shot 30 percent from the field for the game. The Skylights were 2 of 16 from 3-point range, while Rocky was 5 of 21.

Markaela Francis led the Battlin' Bears with a game-high 14 points, while Justyn Juhl added 11, including three 3-pointers. Senior guard Alecia Chamberlin finished with a career-high 13 rebounds. Her 11 defensive rebounds were also a career high.

Sydney Hovde paced MSU-Northern with 10 points and nine rebounds.
