HAVRE — Rylee Burmester of Afton, Wyoming, has signed with the women's volleyball program at Montana State-Northern.

The 5-foot-10 middle hitter recently completed two years at Central Wyoming Community College. She was an all-state and all-conference athlete in volleyball and track at Star Valley High School.

As a senior, she was on 3A state championship teams for volleyball, basketball and track at Star Valley.

Burmester continued playing volleyball and basketball at Central Wyoming.

She received honorable mention Region IX recognition and was a team captain in volleyball. She set school records for her free-throw shooting and rebounding in basketball.

"Rylee has earned great respect from her teammates, opponents and coaches because of the effort and attitude she displays on and off the court," Northern coach Jerry Wagner said in a press release. "She is a glue-type player with a calming personality that makes her extremely reliable and a confident teammate."
