BILLINGS — Lewis-Clark State used a handful of 3-pointers late in the first half to get some separation and defeated Rocky Mountain College 77-68 on Saturday in Frontier Conference women's basketball at the Fortin Center.
The No. 17-ranked Battlin' Bears (16-6, 6-4) will now play four straight road games, starting Friday at Montana State-Northern.
The Warriors made four 3-pointers in the first half and outscored Rocky 24-11 in the second quarter for a 36-27 halftime lead. Lewis-Clark State led by as many as 19 in the fourth quarter.
Jossilyn Blackman of the Warriors scored a game-high 20 points, including 14 of 15 free throws. L-C State was 26 of 27 from the line. Hailey Turner added 15 points, Hannah Burland 14 and Kiara Burlage 11.
Justyn Juhl led Rocky with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. Alecia Chamberlin had 14 and Antuanisha Wright 12 with Markaela Francis and Alyssa Big Man finishing with 10 apiece.
