Freshman guard Kloie Thatcher has average more than 18 points a game in her last four for the Rocky Mountain College women's basketball team.

BILLINGS — The top two teams in the Frontier Conference women's basketball standings will meet on Thursday when Rocky Mountain College hosts Montana Western at the Fortin Center.

It is part of a doubleheader with the men's teams.

The league-leading Bulldogs (7-1, 16-1) are ranked No. 3 in the nation while the Battlin' Bears (15-5, 6-2) are ranked No. 17. 

The game will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.

Senior guard Brianna King is averaging 22.1 points a game for UMW. She has been selected the Frontier Conference player of the week for five consecutive weeks.

Alecia Chamberlin is averaging 13 points a game for Rocky. The Battlin' Bears have six players averaging 9 points or more per game. Freshman guard Kloie Thatcher is averaging 18.2 points a game in her last four, including a career-high 26 in a win over No. 8- ranked Carroll College. Justyn Juhl has a Frontier Conference-best 20 blocked shots.

The Rocky men (13-7, 4-4) have been led by Jared Samuelson's 19.9 points a game. He is also averaging 7.3 rebounds. He ranks fourth nationally for total points.

Kooper Kidgell is averaging a team-best 16.5 points a game for the Bulldogs (7-12, 1-7). Kidgell, of Billings, has scored in double figures in every game this season.

Rocky hosts Lewis-Clark State on Saturday.
