ST. GEORGE, Utah — Dixie State swept a doubleheader from Montana State, winning 4-3 and 2-0 Saturday in college baseball.

The teams close out the series with a single game on Sunday.

The Yellowjackets (0-7) had opportunities late in both games. They had the go-ahead run on first base in the ninth inning of the opener but DSU's Brayden Bonner coaxed a ground out to end the game.

Wyatt Setian had three hits for MSUB, including a two-RBI double.

In the second game, consecutive singles by Daniel Cipriano, Chris Arpan and Landon Peterson loaded the bases with two outs. Bonner was summoned and got his second save of the day with a strikeout.

Peterson had two hits for the Yellowjackets.
