Montana State Billings Yellowjackets

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Brad Schmit, the associate head coach for the Montana State Billings men's basketball team, is being inducted into the Morningside College athletic hall of fame.

The induction ceremony is Oct. 7.

Schmit, entering his sixth season with the Yellowjackets, is the all-time leading scorer in Morningside men's basketball history with 1,987 career points.

A four-year starter, Schmit made a school-record 329 career 3-pointers. He was a two-time NAIA honorable mention All-American and a three-time first-team all-Great Plains Athletic Conference selection.

During his senior season, Schmit led Morningside in both scoring (17.3) and rebounding (5.6), making a single-season record 93 3-pointers. He helped lead Morningside to a 28-7 record and an Elite Eight finish at the NAIA Division II national tournament.
