PORTLAND, Ore. — Four home runs in two games earned Daniel Cipriano of Montana State Billings GNAC baseball player of the week honors.
He was also selected the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association West Region player of the week.
Cipriano, of Agoura Hills, California, became the first Yellowjacket to hit four home runs in a single day as MSUB split a doubleheader with Western Oregon.
Cipriano was 8 for 15 in the four-game series with nine RBIs, seven runs scored and 22 total bases. He also had a pair of doubles, walked twice and was hit by a pitch.
Cipriano is the 10th player in GNAC history to hit four or more home runs within a four-game series. He is joined by MSUB's Brody Miller (against Central Washington) and Colby Robison (against Central Washington).
