CHADRON, Neb. — Isaiah Girard established a new school record in the long jump for Montana State Billings at the Chadron State College Open on Sunday at the Nelson Physical Activity Center.

Competing indoors, Girard came up with a leap of 6.99 meters. That surpassed Taylor Firestone's 2012 mark of 6.88 meters.

Girard also finished second out of 11 competitors in the high jump. He jumped 2.0 meters to place behind winner Tristan Hepp's leap of 2.06 meters for Black Hills State.

MSUB's Brady Ostermiller set a personal best of 15.70 meters in taking second in the shot put.
