FAIRBANKS, Alaska — Brendan Howard came off the bench to score a game-high 25 points as Montana State Billings pulled away from the University of Alaska 92-65 Saturday in GNAC men's basketball.

The win earned the Yellowjackets (15-13, 10-10) a berth in the GNAC Tournament, which begins this Thursday in Bellingham, Washington.

Howard finished 10 of 13 from the field. He was one of three MSUB players in double figures. Zack Rollins added 19 points, including six 3-pointers and Sven Jeuschede and Zharon Richmond each had 11.

The Yellowjackets shot 61 percent from the field and made 12 3-pointers. They led by as many as 31 in the second half.

Michael Kluting led the Nanooks with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
