Montana State Billings Yellowjackets

BILLINGS — Tyler Green knocked down seven 3-pointers en route to a game-high 24 points Thursday night in helping Montana State Billings beat the visiting University of Mary 75-73 in men's basketball at Alterowitz Gymnasium.

The Yellowjackets (4-0) also received six assists from Green, who shot 7 of 11 from 3-point range. Teammates Kendall Denham (13) and Zharon Richmond (10) also scored in double figures.

The Mauraders (0-2) from Bismarck, North Dakota, were led by the 17 points of Jaylan White. Tom Kubank added 16 points.

MSUB, which connected on 12 3-pointers, took the lead for keeps, 74-70, following a 3-pointer and dunk, back-to-back, by Richmond, a former Billings Skyview star, going into the final minute.

Mary's Brody Sharkey missed a 3-pointer in the closing seconds.

MSUB  will remain at home to play Chadron State of Nebraska next Tuesday.
