LAS VEGAS — Eryn Ellis earned medalist honors and the Rocky Mountain College women won the team title at the Minot State Beaver Invitational on Saturday.
The Montana State Billings women were second by four strokes, while Shealyn Hafer was also second.
Ellis had rounds of 76 and 81 for a 157 at the Aliante Golf Club. Hafer was two strokes back at 159 with rounds of 77 and 82.
Rocky slipped past the Yellowjackets in the final round with a total of 655. MSUB had 659.
Morgan O'Neil shot a 163 to place third for RMC and Anna DeMars tied for sixth (165).
Renae Heisler tied for fourth (75-89-164) while Tierney Messmer (80-85-165) tied for sixth for MSUB.
Westminster won the men's team title, while Rocky was third and the Yellowjackets were seventh.
Mitchell Thiessen led RMC with a fourth-place finish with a nine-over-par 225. Teammates Reece Nilsen and Colton Murphy finished right behind in a three-way tie for fifth with Alec Williams of Westminster (all three finished with 226). Michael Tait (229) tied for 10th with five other golfers.
Payton Stott tied for 15th for MSUB (80-80-70-230) and teammate Garrett Woodin shared 18th place (81-77-74-232).
