Senior Sydney Strong (3-for-5) blasted a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Hornets to a home Big Sky Conference win — a game that began Friday but was suspended due to darkness and completed Saturday. The Lady Griz scored three runs in the top of the first inning but allowed four in the bottom half. They trailed 5-3 going into the fifth inning, when they scored a run, and they tied it up in the seventh. Montana's Anne Mari Petrino went 2-for-4 with a triple, while Jessica McAlister and Reilly Williams each finished 2-for-5.
Sacramento State 6, Montana 4 (10 innings)
The Lady Griz fell to 11-26 overall and 1-5 in the Big Sky with their second walk-off loss against the Hornets (21-17, 5-3) on Saturday. Krystal Aubert (2-for-4) launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to secure another home win. Montana trailed 4-0 after one inning but stormed back with two runs each in the fourth and sixth. Katie Pippel went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Lady Griz.
