BILLINGS — Caleb Bellach of Manhattan Christian was named MVP of the State C boys basketball tournament Saturday night at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.

Bellach scored a career-high 42 points and had nine rebounds in leading the Eagles to an 83-51 victory over Arlee in the championship game. It was Manhattan’s first boys title since 1984.

The 6-foot-6 Bellach has signed to play collegiately at Montana State.

Joining Bellach on the all-tournament first team were Arlee’s Greg Whitesell, Aidan Fishell of third-place Scobey, Melstone’s Brody Grebe and Fairview’s Alex Schriver.

The second team consisted of Sam Leep of Manhattan Christian, Cord Schneider of Chinook, Isaac Fisher of Arlee, Canden Handran of Scobey and Cody Asbeck of Fairview.

Voting was conducted by media in attendance at the tournament.
