BILLINGS — Billings Skyview girls basketball coach Robbyn Hergenrider and Billings West boys soccer coach Dylan Barnard have both resigned their positions. Mark Wahl, the director of athletics and activities for School District 2, announced the resignations in separate emails Wednesday.
Hergenrider just completed her second season at Skyview. The Falcons were 5-16 in her first season and 1-19 this year. Skyview’s girls haven’t reached the Class AA state tournament since 2001.
“Robbyn worked extremely hard over the past two years to build the program at Skyview,” Wahl said in the email. “Her time and efforts to work with our student-athletes is much appreciated.”
Barnard joined the Golden Bears for the 2014 season and took the team to the state soccer tournament each season.
“We truly appreciate all Dylan has done for the West High program throughout the past five seasons,” Wahl wrote, noting that Barnard is moving out of state to pursue other opportunities.
Wahl said both openings will be posted immediately. SD2 is already looking for soccer coaches at Senior (girls) and Skyview (boys), and the girls basketball and volleyball positions are open at Senior, as well.
