Helena High senior girls basketball player Jamie Pickens was named the Gatorade Montana Women's Basketball Player of the Year for the 2018-2019 season, the school announced Friday.
This is the second consecutive year the future University of Montana player has won the award. Pickens has been named multiple times first-team all-conference and first-team all-state over the years
She is her team's leader as the Bengals are trying to win their third straight Class state title this weekend. Pickens also became Helena's most prolific scorer earlier this season with more than 1,100 points.
