BOZEMAN — Shelby will drop from Class B to 8-Man football this fall, and eight other schools have been approved to switch to different divisions.

The realignments were approved by the Montana High School Association during Executive Board meetings in Bozeman on Saturday and Monday.

Also moving:

In Class B, Wolf Point is moving to the North Division and Red Lodge to the East. 

In 8-Man, Twin Bridges is shifting to the South Division and Shelby will compete in the North.

In Class C 6-Man, Denton-Geyser-Stanford is headed to the North, Broadview-Lavina and Plenty Coups to the South, and Hot Springs and Gardiner to the West.

In other action at the MHSA meeting, Class B and C will remain combined for all-class state wrestling. The board originally agreed to separate the classes.

Also, the Class B-C state tennis tournament is scheduled for May 17-19 in Great Falls.
