ATLANTA — Brianna King of Montana Western was selected the NAIA player of the year by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
The WBCA also selected King as a first-team All-American. The senior guard from Spokane, Washington is a two-time Frontier Conference player of the year.
She averaged 22.2 points a game this season, leading the Bulldogs to a 25-4 record and Frontier Conference regular season title. King was selected the league's player of the week six times.
Last season, King helped Montana Western reach the semifinals of the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament for the first time in program history. She scored 40 points in a quarterfinal win over Menlo.
Hanna Dean of Carroll was selected an honorable mention All-American by the WBCA.
