PORTLAND, Ore. — The women's volleyball team at Montana State Billings is picked to finish ninth out of 11 schools in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference standings this coming season, according to a preseason coaches poll.
Western Washington and Central Washington tied for the No. 1 spot in the balloting with 114 points. MSUB, which finished eighth a year ago, received 36 points.
Alaska Anchorage (93) was picked third, followed by Simon Fraser (90), Alaska (75), Seattle Pacific (63), Northwest Nazarene (53) and Concordia (50).
Western Oregon (26) and Saint Martin's (12) were picked behind MSUB in the voting.
Western Washington went 20-0 in league last year and finished 30-4 overall. Central Washington was 16-4 and 23-6.
