BILLINGS — The ninth annual "Legion Against Cancer" night sponsored by Billings American Legion Baseball is Friday, May 31, at Dehler Park.

The Royals and Scarlets will tangle that night in a Class AA conference game. The Class A Billings Cardinals and Billings Blue Jays will meet at 4 p.m., followed by the Royals-Scarlets showdown. The games will benefit the Billings Clinic Foundation’s Kelker’s Kids and Piggy Bank funds, which help families of children battling cancer and other serious blood disorders and pediatric patients facing life-threatening illness or disease, respectively.

This year, BALB will hold two bingo night fundraisers in advance of the games. They will be take place on Friday, April 26, and Friday, May 17, at the Billings American Legion Post 4, 1540 Broadwater Ave., from 6 to 9 p.m. All funds raised will go to the Kelker’s Kids and Piggy Bank funds.

Fans can also buy a virtual seat for May 31 for $25, or make a donation of their choice to honor someone who has battled cancer. With a donation, attendees can upload a message and a photo to be broadcast on the scoreboard during the games. The dedications will stay on the Billings American Legion Baseball website throughout the baseball season.
