BILLINGS — The women’s basketball teams from Montana State Billings and Rocky Mountain College will renew their crosstown rivalry Wednesday night in a 7 p.m. game at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark. The game is an exhibition contest for both teams.

MSU Billings is returning home after going 0-3 on a season-opening trek to the Division II Tip-Off Classic in Orange, California. The Yellowjackets fell to the University of Mary, Cal Poly Pomona and No. 1-ranked Drury University.

Forward Taryn Shelley led MSUB with per-game averages of 16.0 points and 8.3 rebounds on the road trip. Guard Hannah Collins averaged 10.3 points per game.

NAIA Rocky comes into the game with a 2-1 record, with its most recent win a 65-35 victory over Billings’ Yellowstone Christian College on Oct. 29. Forward Markaela Francis posted a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds in the win.

Guard Destinee Pointer scored 24 points for the Battlin’ Bears in an earlier victory over Mount Royal University.
