OGDEN, Utah — After a career night on Saturday, Montana junior Sayeed Pridgett hauled in some hardware on Tuesday when he was named the Big Sky Conference player of the week.
Pridgett, an Oakland, California, native, scored a career-high 29 points on Saturday as the Grizzlies upset Northern Colorado 88-64 in Greeley, Colorado, a game the Bears came into undefeated in conference play. Pridgett scored Montana's first 11 points and finished 11 for 13 from the field including netting all four of his attempts from beyond the arc.
In the previous game against Eastern Washington, Pridgett scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the 78-71 loss. He shot 8 for 11 in that game. Between the two performances, Pridgett averaged 22.5 points per game on 79.2 percent shooting plus five rebounds, two steals and one-and-a-half assists.
Pridgett is Montana's first conference player of the week this season. The Grizzlies play at Idaho on Saturday.
