Billings West kicker Cody Gagnon has committed to play college football at Montana Tech.

BILLINGS — All-state kicker Cody Gagnon of Billings West announced his commitment to play college football Montana Tech on Wednesday.

"Blessed, honored, proud to announce that I am going to further my football and academic career at Montana Tech! I would like to thank my parents, coaches at West and numerous others that have helped me along the way! #RollDigs," Gagnon said in his tweet.

Gagnon converted on 7 of his 8 field goal attempts, three of which came from 40-plus yards. His season-high was 46 yards, which came against Helena Capital. Gagnon was 28 for 28 on PATs. Gagnon also had 47 kickoffs for West this year, 16 of which went for touchbacks. Gagnon booted 50 punts for an average of 39 yards.

Gagnon's efforts earned him first team all-state in Class AA as a kicker, along with Missoula Sentinel's Spencer Peppenger. Gagnon was named second team all-state as a punter.
