Glory Konecny

Former Billings West wrestler Glory Konecny, now competing for Southern Oregon, placed fifth at 116 pounds to earn honorable mention All-American honors at the inaugural NAIA Women's Wrestling Invitational on Saturday. 

JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Billings West graduate Glory Konecny placed fifth at the inaugural NAIA Women's Wrestling Invitational on Saturday at Harold Newman Arena here.

Konecny (116 pounds), who wrestles for Southern Oregon, earned honorable mention All-American honors for her performance.

Konecny, a freshman for the Raiders, won her first three matches before falling in the semifinals and her first consolation match before winning 8-2 in the fifth-place match vs. Taryn Ichimura of Menlo.

Southern Oregon finished eighth as a team.

The University of Providence's Dajan Treder scored All-American honors at the meet with a third-place finish in the 123-pound division. Treder is a redshirt senior from Anchorage, Alaska. The Argos finished 16th.
