PORTLAND, Ore. — The Montana State Billings men's soccer team swept the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's soccer weekly player of the week awards that were announced Monday by league officials.

Montana State Billings freshman goalie Jessy Martin was named the league's defensive player of the week for the second straight time. Sophomore midfielder/forward Andres Perez was singled out as the conference's offensive player of the week. 

Martin earned his first career shutout on Sunday with three saves as MSUB blanked South Dakota School of Mines and Technology 4-0. 

Against Humboldt State on Friday, Martin, of Chateauroux, France, had five saves.

Perez, of Pittsburgh, California, scored two goals off the bench in Sunday's victory. It was the second time in his career Perez has notched a multi-goal game.
