RAPID CITY, S.D. — Montana State Billings senior Nikki Aiken earned her first career victory on Saturday at the Hardrocker Cross Country Classic.

Aiken's time of 21 minutes, 25.4 seconds was over a minute longer than her career best but more than five seconds better than the second-best runner at the women's meet, Chadron State's Madison Watson.

The Yellowjacket women finished third out of four teams with a score of 69. Chadron State (34) won the five-kilometer race, with South Dakota Mines (39) coming in second.

In the men's 8K race, South Dakota Mines (17) took first and placed all but three runners in the top 10. The Jackets (57) placed second, followed by Chadron State (66), Valley City State (105) and Trintiy Bible College (132).

MSUB's top men's runner was sophomore Ase Ackerman, who finished 13th (29:21.68).
