Helena High head girls soccer coach Mike Meloy has announced his resignation.
Meloy has served Helena High as the head coach of the program for fifteen seasons. His teams have found consistent success on the pitch with AA state championships in 2015 and 2017.
Meloy also led teams to AA state runner up finishes in 2013 and 2020. His last two teams advanced to the state AA semifinal games in 2021 and 2022.
Meloy's teams have claimed eight Western Conference Championships: six in a row from 2012 to 2017. Meloy completed his time as a head coach with a overall record of 127-42-39 and was named twice as the AA Coach of the Year (2016 and 2017).
Meloy has provided consistent support to the game of soccer in Helena. His desire to see the sport grow and thrive in Helena has been felt by many in our community. His teams were always fundamentally sound with strong work ethics and a team first attitude.
