Billings Skyview defeats Billings West, 4-3

BILLINGS — Stewart Park will host two divisional softball tournaments this weekend.

The bulk of the Eastern AA and Eastern B-C divisional tournaments are scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday, but the Eastern B-C will feature one game on Thursday: Great Falls Central against Shelby at 5 p.m. on Field 1.

The winner of Thursday’s game will take on Huntley Project at 9 a.m. Friday back at Field 1. Also at 9 a.m. Friday, Cut Bank will face Glasgow on Field 2 and Conrad will play Stillwater on Field 3, while Colstrip and Shepherd will face off at 1 p.m. on Field 2.

The Eastern B-C quarterfinals are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday. The semifinals of the double-elimination tournament are set for noon and 2 p.m. Saturday, and the title game will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. start time for an if-necessary championship contest.

On the Eastern AA side, Great Falls (19-1, 11-1) earned a first-round bye, while the other six teams will play opening round games at 11 a.m. Friday at the double-elimination tourney. Billings Skyview (14-5, 8-4) will face Bozeman (1-15, 1-11) on Field 1, Billings West (13-6, 7-5) will face Butte (5-14, 2-10) on Field 2 and Billings Senior (13-6, 7-5) will take on Great Falls CMR (12-7, 6-6) on Field 3.

The winner of Senior-CMR will play Great Falls in the semifinals at 3 p.m. Friday on Field 1, while the winners of the other two first-rounds games will face off on Field 2 at the same time. The championship game is scheduled for noon on Saturday.

Four teams each from Eastern AA and B-C will advance to state.
