HELENA — The Helena Bighorns hockey team defeated the Yellowstone Quake for the second time in two days, this time 4-1 on Saturday before 562 fans at the Helena Ice Arena.

Valary Dietz scored two goals for the Bighorns (25-4), while Justin Sullivan and Hunter Pierce had one each. Goalkeepers Alexander Rogers and Carver Thompson combined for 29 saves.

Helena Bighorns hockey provides different opportunities for players

Jeremy Solko, Nicholas Cenis, Hayden Seitz, Elliot Plourde, Nicholas Noel and Sullivan registered assists. 

The Bighorns remain in second place in the Frontier Division behind the Great Falls Americans (26-7). The next home game is Jan. 12 against the Missoula Junior Bruins with showdowns with the Bozeman Icedogs and Great Falls on Jan. 25 and 26.
