Belgrade’s golf team tuned up for divisional with a solid performance at the Bozeman Invitational. The two-day tournament wrapped up Friday, and the team had one top 10-placer in Anthony Madison.
Seconds after sprinting back on defense to deflect a shot away from the goal, Anne Cheney was whistled for a foul in the box. It set up a defining moment for Belgrade Tuesday afternoon in the 52nd minute.
Both Hannah Van Dyk and Shann Mack had similar responses as to how their teams performed over the weekend. At times they looked great at the season-opening Choteau Invitational, while other times some weaknesses were exposed.
Sam Nash and Hannah Giese each placed in the top 25 Friday to lead Belgrade at the season-opening Billings Invitational at Amend Park.
Over the span of Saturday afternoon Belgrade’s volleyball team equaled its entire win total from a year ago.
